Tots and tweens and teens – oh my! Rene Rawls is a former teacher turned writer who strives to capture those fun, magical moments of learning in the kids' content she truly enjoys creating. Stemming from the belief that what children see in the media can be just as impactful as what they don’t see, especially if they don’t see themselves, Rene wrote Sule and the Case of the Tiny Sparks, which stars an African boy who uses culturally diverse proverbs to help kids solve their problems. Sule was produced as an animated short film, and the picture book received a Kirkus star review. Rene’s other kids-centered projects have been acknowledged by several writing programs, including the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and her heart simply melts when she's asked by kids to create more content.
