Follow Your Plan, Not Your Mood

The other day, during my morning walk, I saw this in a pile of trash. Most people would've passed it because it was just that, trash. But because I've recently noticed that God has a way of speaking to me through words that "appear out of nowhere," I stopped and took a picture of it. As I continued walking, I realized a couple of things. 1. To follow a plan, I must have a plan. And I do (or I thought I did). I want Sule the Proverb Detective to positively transform the lives of children around the world. When I think about it, this is my vision. But do I have a plan? Yes and no. It's swirling around in my head. So, I must write it down. 2. Once that plan is written down, I must follow it. As a parent, I'm sure there have been many times when you weren’t in the mood to follow all of your kids' plans. But you pushed that feeling aside and kept it moving. I've found that Sule the Proverb Detective is like a child to me, my son. So, I must do the same because moods are wishy-washy. They’re hard for others to follow, especially when there is no official plan. So I’m going to create a concrete plan that I (and others) can follow, even when my mood tries to tell me otherwise.
