Push Past Possible

Updated: Jul 14

The other day, during my morning walk, the Metro 30 rode past me, and I looked at the advertisement on the side of the bus and saw the words Push Past Possible. At that time, I had no idea what was actually being advertised, but I did know that the slogan was something I would keep in my mind in case I needed it. And trust me, I have needed it. Holding that downward-facing dog yoga pose – Push Past Possible. About to put that cookie in my mouth instead of a carrot – Push Past Possible. When I’m ready to stop that rewrite because I can’t figure out the scene - Push Past Possible. After all these years of working on Sule the Proverb Detective, and it still hasn’t reached every child in the world – Push Past Possible. I knew I wanted to post a picture of the ad with this blog, but unfortunately, at the first sighting of this slogan, I didn’t get one. I figured I’d see it again. So, I started looking at the ads on every bus that passed – nothing. For months, this happened – not one single sighting of the slogan. But I kept looking. I was determined to Push Past Possible and get a picture of that ad. And on my 7/6 morning walk, I saw it on the side of Metro 28. It was too far away for me to get a picture of it. But at least I knew where I could find it. So, a few days later, on my morning walk, I told myself to go to Olympic and perhaps the Metro 28 bus with the ad would pass by. Well, on my way to Olympic, I looked up and this is what I saw ---

On Arlington

And yesterday I saw this…

On Pico
On Pico

And then this…

On Crenshaw
On Crenshaw

Sometimes you have to Push Past Possible, and God will do the same.
